IS LOCAL PICKUP AVAILABLE?

Although our office is located in Perth, WA, we are a wholesaler and are unable to process payments or release stock over the counter. If you wish to purchase a DOD camera, then please use our dealer locator. Our dealers are trained professionals and knowledgeable in the products in order to best assist you with your enquiries.

HOW CAN I STOCK AND RESELL YOUR CAMERAS?

WHAT IS MY WARRANTY PERIOD?

Each DOD camera comes with a full 1 (one) year warranty on date of receipt. Your SD card is also covered under this warranty. The warranty is guaranteed by us and allows us to offer replacements to you or repairs depending on the situation. Each claim is treated individually and assessed by our trained staff, furthermore you will not receive any surprise fees/bills/charges during your warranty claim and any possible repair charges will be notified to you in writing before the repair is done. HOW DO I KNOW WHICH DOD CAMERA IS RIGHT FOR ME?

We understand every customer has specific needs to fit their set up most suitably, that is why we have developed the camera comparison page. There you can decide which camera would best suit your requirements. If you're still unsure, then please get in contact us with and we can help you out personally.

CAN I PURCHASE A SECOND HAND UNIT OR REFURBISHED MODEL?

Unfortunately we do not sell second hand units or refurbished models direct to public. In the event you have a second hand unit, make sure it is in clean, working condition and try your hand at selling it locally. If you have your original receipt of purchase, your buyer is still eligible for warranty with that document.

MY UNIT IS 3 MONTHS OLD, DO YOU ACCEPT TRADE-INS?

We unfortunately do not accept trade-ins for any of the models; any such trade-ins or exchanges are done at the discretion of your retailer and yourself.

HOW DO I UPGRADE MY CAMERA'S FIRMWARE?

These helpful steps below will tell you how to correctly format your SD card and upgrade it's firmware.

  • Take out the SD card from your camera.
  • Put the SD card into a card reader and then plug it into your USB slot.
  • Download the latest firmware into the SD Card, available from our downloads page.
  • Safely eject the SD card, and insert the SD card into the unit.
  • Power the camera up.
  • The device will reboot after the update is completed.
  • Once completed, remove the SD card from the unit again.
  • Format the SD card and then re-insert into the unit.

ARE THERE ANY FIRMWARE UPDATES?

Make sure you subscribe to our newsletter to get information on new firmware released for your model. You can also check the downloads page from time to time to stay up to date. We will try our best to make sure our downloads page is up to date with the latest firmware from the manufacturer.

CAN DOD HANDLE THE AUSTRALIAN HEAT?

DOD Cameras are made and manufactured in Taiwan. Each camera undergoes stress testing and endurance runs before being shipped to Australia, where they are then tested further again by us before they go onto market. The cameras are rated up to 70°C operational temp.

WHAT IS THE DEFAULT WIFI PASSWORD?

The default WiFi Password for all models is 12345678. Use this password with all WiFi enabled models (RC Series, HUMMER) in order to connect to the DOD app.

CAN I USE ANY SD CARD WITH MY DOD CAMERA?

A common misconception with dash cameras is that write speed and read speed are the most important factors, however those are just a minimum standard that should be met. DOD cameras require special MLC High Endurance cards for optimum compatibility and smooth video.

If you are using a third-party SD card, you could run into many issues, and your seller may not even provide warranty in the event of your card failing due to its use in a dash camera. We will always advise customers and our retailers to use the DOD supplied micro SD cards to ensure compatibility and faultless playback.

Warning! You cannot use a SANDISK card with DOD cameras, as they are highly incompatible and will void your warranty.

DO I NEED TO FORMAT MY SD CARD ON WEEKLY?

Our recommendation: yes! As dash cameras cause a lot of work on the SD card, it is recommended to format them at least once a week. This can help them operate smoothly and extend the life of the SD card. On another note, it is recommended to only use the supplied micro SD cards with the DOD cameras to ensure the best compatibility.

HOW DO I ACTIVATE 60FPS MODE ON MY RC500S-2CH?

In order to have 60FPS recording on the RC500S-2CH, you must disconnect the rear camera so that your 2CH system then functions as a one channel system. This will enable 60FPS recording.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE SETTINGS ON MY RC500S MODEL?

The RC500S requires you to pause recording before you can change any of the settings on the device through the smartphone application. Once you have finished modifying settings on your camera, you can go back and resume recording.

THE PAUSE RECORDING BUTTON IS NOT WORKING IN MY APP?

If you are pressing the pause recording button in the app for your RC500S and nothing is happening, then it is most likely a fault with your SD card. Make sure your SD Card is formatted into FAT32. You can also enter the WiFi to adjust settings without an SD card in the unit if this does not help. For further assistance, please contact us.

MY CAMERA IS EXPERIENCING A FAULT, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

In the event your camera starts to play up or not function correctly and you are still under the warranty period, then go to our warranty page to begin the warranty process. Make sure to check the FAQ for frequently asked technical queries that you may have forgotten about before beginning the process, however we aim to resolve your claim within 2-10 Business Days depending on the situation.

MY CAMERA CAN'T PICK UP A GPS SIGNAL?

Some cars have metallic windshields which can cause interference with GPS signals from reaching your unit. Make sure there are no other devices that could potentially cause GPS interference to your DOD camera, as that could negatively affect it's performance as well.

If your GPS was working and suddenly stopped and won't work again, there could be a potential fault with your camera. Please get in contact with us so that we can best advise you.

MY CAMERA IS NOT POWERING ON?

Please make sure all leads are connected correctly to a 12V power source and your camera. Ensure the ON switch is in the ON position. If you have hard-wired your dash camera into your vehicle, ensure the vehicle is on when testing the power. Check your power cable LED and make sure the red light is on, which will indicate power is available from your charging cable. If you are confident that your camera is receiving the power required, and the camera refuses to boot, then you could have a potential fault with your camera. MY LCD SCREEN HAS GONE WHITE AND IS NOT RESPONSIVE?

A white LCD screen could indicate a physical connection issue with the LCD and your model. Please go through the warranty procedure in order for us to best resolve this issue for you.
